We’re offering an insane once in a lifetime experience to spend 7 days on the King Millennium 2 cruising the Mentawais with Taj Burrow and helping save lives in Indonesia.
As part of our #DoGood initiative and to give back we’ve teamed up with the surfers charity of choice, SurfAid, a charity that saves lives in remote ares in Indonesia — in places we all love to surf. With a “hand up, not a hand out” model, they implement simple but effective things like clean water, improved nutrition and malaria education. SurfAid’s programs in Indonesia are making a significant impact and are greatly reducing infant and maternal mortality. This trip is a unique opportunity to both surf and make a real difference.
The experience will also include an exclusive dinner with SurfAid founder, Dr Dave Jenkins in Padang the night before we leave on the boat. Dr Dave, will share his inspirational story and how he lives his life making the world a better place.
Joining us is surf photographer John Respondek to document the experience with photos and surf videographer Nick Atkins to shoot the trip and create a short surf film starring everyone on board. Not only will you be surfing, but you’ll spend your days fishing, eating, drinking and sharing stories with Taj and the crew.
These memories will last forever, as everyone on board will receive a hard cover coffee table book of the trip curated by John Respondek and the short surf film delivered when we get back from paradise.
Taj adds, “To be in a position to use my passion; surfing, to do good and help improve the lives of those less fortunate is something that I definitely don’t take for granted. Teaming up with SurfAid, to not only raise money but also awareness for the important work that they do in Indonesia is special to me”.
